Raising Readers in Story County

It is with the support of our community partnership with the Story County Community Foundation that Raising Readers in Story County has been able to purchase specialized materials and books for several Thrive by Five programs. The SCCF funding has enabled us to purchase books for the ACPC Reading Buddies program that is in tandem with the classroom themes. The children are making essential text to world connections between the books and the themes. Additionally, the funds have purchased diverse books as gift books for children who attend our Story Time program that is in partnership with YSS Baby Bump & Beyond parent education classes. It is essential that children see images of themselves in the books that they read.
