Julie Weeks

Julie recently retired after spending 40 years in the Ames and Iowa State University visitor industry.  She kept active in a wide variety of Ames and ISU events including: Special Olympics, Iowa Games, Odyssey of the Mind, Farm Progress and most recently RAGBRAI as it traveled through Story County.  She is a graduate of the first Leadership Ames Class and the ISU Emerging Leaders Program. She held leadership roles with Iowa Destination Marketing Alliance and Upper Midwest Convention & Visitors Bureau Association.

Julie and her husband Craig have lived in Story County since 1978, when they returned to Iowa from an adventure in Utah to operate the family farm.  They have two grown children and two grandchildren.  They enjoy traveling and attending a variety of events in the area.
