Grants Available

Through its grant making, the Story County Community Foundation (SCCF) is committed to allocating resources to significantly improve or affect the lives of people living in Story County communities.  Through its grant-making, the Foundation is committed to allocating resources to specific objectives and outcomes.  Applicants should speak to these Community Betterment Objectives, refer to Grant Applications Guidelines and Overview page.

Capacity Building Grant

up to $2,500

Applications are only accepted from qualified applicants.  Successful applicants must use the grant to improve their capacity to raise money for their fund held at SCCF.

Applications are accepted from January 1 to August 31 annually.

Applications are reviewed as received. 

Qualified applicants must hold at least one fund with Story County Community Foundation and must use the capacity grant to improve organizational capacity to raise money for  one or more SCCF funds. 

SCCF awarded 18 new community grants for a total of $106,046 was awarded to charitable projects in Story County in 2016.  This reached a milestone of $1 million in grants awarded since SCCF started awarding grants in 2005.  The 2016 recipients are pictured at the November 8 awards celebration.
